Job title:                     Manufacturing Supervisor

Department:              Manufacturing

Supervision:             Manufacturing Manager, General Manager/VP

The Manufacturing Supervisor provides guidance, coordination, and direction to department employees. Supervisor is responsible for ensuring an efficiently run department by enforcing existing policies and procedures. The supervisor is also responsible for fostering an environment that promotes positive culture and maintains effective training through continuous improvement.

Duties:

  1. Ensure KPI’s (Quality, Delivery, Efficiency) are being tracked and met.
  2. Develop area leads by training and delegating authority.
  3. Develop & retain employees through proper training and effective communication.
  4. Partake in corrective action as necessary, both personnel and processes.
  5. Review and report daily challenges and opportunities.
  6. Make suggestions on improving the processes.
  7. Attend & host meetings as necessary.
  8. Prepare reports and status updates to upper management.
  9. Implement methodologies that promote continuous improvement.
  10. Create department efficiencies and bring ideas to management.
  11. Monitor department efficiencies and seek guidance and council from engineering/management.
  12. Stay within budget guidelines by monitoring performance throughout the manufacturing process and making corrections where necessary.
  13. Perform & provide timely and thorough employee reviews to Manufacturing Manager or HR
  14. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on PPE, equipment, and appropriate routine housekeeping expectations.
  15. Communicate & update employees on schedule changes and/or OT requirements in a reasonable amount of time.
  16. Perform special assignments and other duties as required.

Requirements:

  1. Ensure departments are FOD free.
  2. Understand, embrace, and ensure compliance to ESAM’s safety policies and procedures.
  3. Transparent and respectful communication with peers, subordinates, management, and customers through emails, phone calls, and meetings.
  4. Must be able to work 40 or more hours a week and weekends.
  5. Utilize the computer as needed for emails, department planning and reporting, and other tasks as assigned.
