Job Title: Solder

Department: Soldering

$15.00 an hour

Supervision: Manufacturing Section Manager/Manufacturing Manager
Summary of Position: The solder position requires the use of a soldering iron (pencil type) and solders wires onto a variety of components.

Duties:

1. Bend wires and mechanically attach to components.
2. Tin the wire
3. Read instruction sheets
4. Call for In Process Inspection when applicable.
5. Fill out traveler paperwork.
6. Make suggestions on improving the processes
7. Remove solder and rework.
8. Hand strip as required.
9. Performs special assignments and other duties.

Requirements:

1. Able to distinguish colors.
2. Able to read small print
3. Able to read a ruler.
4. Have excellent manual dexterity.
5. Able to stand or sit eight (8) or more hours per day.
6. Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. on a repeated basis.
7. Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
8. Have the ability to work with arms at shoulder level for extended periods of time.
9. Bend head and neck at an angle to view through a halo light or scope to solder very small components.
